Online Brainstorming | Guiding distinctions of social science

What dichotomies, dualisms, and distinctions have shaped our fields?

Online brainstorming

Join our online brainstorming on the Guiding distinctions of social sciences. No login or email required. Just spot and click on the “+” to add your favourite guiding distinctions once you are on the brainstorming side. Ideas can be posted in English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese language. Disclosing your name makes the brainstorming more fun (but is, again, not mandatory at all).

Launched by the Next Society Institute, the International Social Theory Consortium, and the Luhmann Conference community, this brainstorming is supported by the European Sociological Association and linked to two dedicated special issues:

  • Guiding distinctions of social theory. Analogue guidelines or digital transformers? Call for abstracts to a special issue of the International Sociological Association flagship journal Current Sociology [SSCI 2.500, Scopus, FNEGE**, CABS**]: https://wp.me/pvO07-1Vr
  • Guiding distinctions of management and organization theory. Call for papers to a special issue of management revue. Socio-Economic Studies [ESCI, Scopus, CABS**, VHB***]: https://wp.me/pvO07-1Ua

There is also a related call for abstracts to the Luhmann Conference 2024 in Dubrovnik.
